A loyal member of clan Tremere, he serves his purpose admirably. He has sufficiently proved his worth.
Is he a Camarilla supporter? I’m not quite sure. He does seem stuck in the old ways, but he is more than willing enough to help our cause.
Born in 1899 in New York City, Harold Sinclair was a second generation immigrant, after both of his parents came to the US from France. His family was very scholarly. pushing him into education at a young age. He was drafted into WWI, but not before being married and having a son. He wasn’t in the war too long, before he was sent home with a purple heart. Coming home from the war, he went to school to be a doctor, like he was in the war, but decided instead to be a psychologist.
As a psychologist, Harold wanted to mend broken minds, and went to work for the New York City Asylum for the Criminally Insane. There he met an odd patient, who hated the sun, and tried to drink the blood of other patients. Thinking nothing of it, Harold performed experiments on him, such as shock therapy, to try and fix him. His patient, Martin, grew to hate him tried to attack on at least one occasion. Luckily for Harold, Olaf was there to stop him.
One night (1933), a potential benefactor towards the asylum arrived, asking for a psychological examination from Harold. Confused, but willing, Harold obliged his request, only to have the man assault him, and steal all of the blood from his body. Harold died that night, but it wasn’t the end of his story. His assailant was a Tremere vampire, and had Chosen Harold for the Embrace. Harold awoke that night, a member of The Damned.
He went through the Tremere ceremonies like any other good member of his clan. He acquired some status and wealth in New York due to his abilities as a psychologist. Eventually, Martin returned, hellbent on revenge against Harold for the torture and the experimentation that occurred in the asylum. Martin had more resourced than anticipated, slowly eating away at Harold’s wealth. One night, Martin’s ghouls stormed Harold’s haven, burning and destroying much of what he owned. If it wasn’t for Olaf, Harold likely would of gone up in the flames as well.
Using what little money he had left, Harold paid a Nosferatu to get fake military credentials for Olaf. The two rode aboard a military transport aircraft to Washington state (Harold tucked away with the cargo). From there, the two “commandeered” a Jeep, a drove down to Seattle. There, Harold meet with the local Tremere, regaining a similar position to his in New York. He had to restart his life from nothing, establishing a small patient base for income.
